Halia Therapeutics Partners with Southern Star Research to Launch Phase 1 Trial for Neurodegenerative Drug

Halia Therapeutics, Inc. has entered a strategic collaboration with Southern Star Research Pty Ltd, an Australian contract research organisation (CRO), to launch a Phase 1 clinical trial for its LRRK2 inhibitor, HT-4253. This collaboration signifies a crucial step in the development of new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease.

The trial is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, with initial results anticipated in 2025. Halia’s partnership with Southern Star Research is aimed at leveraging the CRO’s expertise in clinical research to ensure the trial’s success.
