HAS Healthcare Advanced Synthesis, formerly known as Helsinn Advanced Synthesis SA, specialises in the development and manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), cGMP Advanced Intermediates, High Potency APIs (HPAPIs), and anticancer compounds. The company serves third parties throughout the complete lifecycle of pharmaceutical products, from clinical phases to commercial supply, on an exclusive basis. Established in 1984, the production facility is located in Biasca, Switzerland, and is routinely inspected by regulatory agencies, including the FDA and SwissMedic. The manufacturing capabilities encompass a wide range of production scales, from grams to tens of kilograms for HPAPIs with an Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) as low as 1 µg/ml, and anticancer compounds with an OEL down to 50 ng/ml, as well as larger quantities for APIs reaching tens of tons in fully dedicated cGMP environments.
