WuXi Biologics said it has received a Platinum Medal from EcoVadis for the third year in a row, marking the highest level of recognition from the sustainability assessment platform. The rating places the company among the top one percent of more than 150,000 companies evaluated worldwide.
EcoVadis assesses environmental, social, and governance performance using 21 criteria across four areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. WuXi Biologics said the Platinum Medal reflects its policies, implementation mechanisms, and performance outcomes across all assessed ESG dimensions, as validated by third-party professionals.
The company highlighted several initiatives that contributed to the rating, including approval of its near-term and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative. WuXi Biologics has also published a Green CRDMO White Paper outlining sustainability-focused technologies across research, development, and contract manufacturing operations, and has achieved ISO 20400 certification for sustainable procurement.
