Evotec Appoints Dr. Christian Wojczewski as Chief Executive Officer

• Evotec SE appoints Dr. Christian Wojczewski as the new CEO, effective from July 1, 2024.

Evotec SE has announced the appointment of Dr. Christian Wojczewski as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from July 1, 2024. This follows the retirement of Dr. Mario Polywka, who has served as Interim CEO since January 3, 2024. Dr. Polywka will step down from his position at the end of June and will not seek re-election for his dormant Supervisory Board mandate, which expires with the 2024 Annual General Meeting.

Dr. Wojczewski holds a degree in chemistry and brings over 20 years of experience in various management positions to Evotec. His most recent roles include CEO of Mediq and Linde Healthcare. His appointment is seen as a significant gain for Evotec, bringing an experienced CEO from the healthcare industry with a track record of successful company transformations.

In a statement, Dr. Wojczewski expressed his delight at joining Evotec SE as its new CEO. He said, “I look forward to leading the Company into the next phase of its evolution.
