- Single Use Support has appointed Darren Verlenden as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Single Use Support has announced the appointment of Darren Verlenden as Chief Executive Officer, a strategic move to support the company’s ambitious global growth plans. Verlenden, who was previously Executive Vice President for the Process Solutions business at Merck KGaA Darmstadt Germany, brings over 20 years of experience in the life sciences manufacturing sector to his new role.
In his position as CEO, Verlenden will focus on expanding Single Use Support’s commercial and operational footprint globally. Commenting on his appointment, Verlenden stated, “I am excited to join such a talented team and help Single Use Support embark on the next phase of its growth trajectory. The portfolio has exceptional differentiated value, and a strong history of delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
Managing Director Christian Praxmarer, who continues as Chief Operating Officer, praised Verlenden’s expertise: “His commercial leadership and strategic development skills will be invaluable in deepening Single Use Support’s commitment to quality and innovation.”
The company has also strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Ulrike Lemke as Chief Commercial Officer. Lemke, a veteran of Lonza, Sartorius, and Recipharm, will play a key role in enhancing Single Use Support’s global presence in the life sciences sector.
Additionally, the Advisory Board has been bolstered with the addition of two senior independent directors. Meeta Gulyani, who has held leadership roles at Sanofi, Roche, and Merck KGaA, and Stefan Stoffel, the former Chief Operating Officer at Lonza, bring significant expertise in bioprocessing and strategy.
