Siegfried has announced the acquisition of a new site that specialises in early-phase development and manufacturing services. The site, staffed by an experienced team of over 80 employees, is expected to enhance Siegfried’s customer offering for Drug Substances in terms of capabilities and geographical coverage.
The firm plans to develop the site into a hub for early-phase Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services for its global customer base. This includes services for projects with highly potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
The acquisition is set to bolster Siegfried’s position in the US market, enabling the firm to provide comprehensive support to customers in the pre-clinical and clinical development and manufacturing of Drug Substances. This move is particularly beneficial for small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies.
A focus on early-phase CDMO services will enhance Siegfried’s Drug Substance pipeline by capturing additional opportunities in their early stage, creating significant growth opportunities.
