DHL Group Expands Pharma Logistics with CRYOPDP Acquisition

• DHL Group has acquired CRYOPDP, a specialist in white-glove courier services, to enhance its pharma logistics capabilities.

• The deal strengthens DHL’s Pharma Specialized Network and expands its presence in clinical trials, biopharma, and cell & gene therapy logistics.

DHL Group has expanded its life sciences and healthcare logistics business with the acquisition of CRYOPDP, a specialized courier service provider handling over 600,000 shipments annually across 135 countries. The acquisition aligns with DHL’s Strategy 2030, reinforcing its capabilities in temperature-controlled networks and integrated supply chain solutions.

CRYOPDP’s expertise in handling sensitive pharmaceutical shipments will complement DHL Supply Chain’s Pharma Specialized Network. The company plans to integrate CRYOPDP’s specialty courier services with the global air capabilities of DHL Express and DHL Global Forwarding to enhance end-to-end logistics solutions.

In addition, DHL has strengthened its strategic partnership with Cryoport, a provider of temperature-controlled supply chain solutions for life sciences. This collaboration will support Cryoport’s expansion in high-growth markets, including Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
