GenScript Biotech Corporation has announced the opening of a new operations site and logistics center in Sydney, Australia. This expansion aims to streamline the delivery of biotechnology research materials across the region, marking GenScript’s increased commitment to the Asia-Pacific market.
The Sydney facility is designed to enhance GenScript’s logistical capabilities, offering Australian researchers faster and more efficient access to essential research reagents. By providing a local supply chain, GenScript aims to eliminate obstacles in the procurement process, such as customs clearance and import permits, which can delay research progress.
One standout feature of the new site is its next-day shipping service for high-demand products, including mRNA, growth factors, and Cas proteins. “Establishing a logistics hub in Sydney enables us to deliver more localised support to our Australian partners,” stated Sherry Shao, GenScript’s rotating CEO. “This expansion is about building long-term relationships within the region’s biotech ecosystem, allowing our customers to focus entirely on advancing their research.”
Dr. Janice Jin, President of GenScript Asia Pacific, highlighted Australia’s role in the biotech landscape, noting that the new facility strengthens GenScript’s ability to support local researchers directly. “We’re here to provide tailored solutions that empower innovation,” she said.
