- Naresta has completed a 1,700 sq. m A++ energy class logistics centre for the Stem Cell Research Center, part of the Northway group, in nine months.
- The facility includes ISO 8 cleanroom space and supports the expansion of Bio City, one of Europe’s largest biotechnology campuses, in Vilnius.

Naresta, one of Lithuania’s largest construction companies, has completed a new logistics centre for the Stem Cell Research Center, a company within the Northway group and the Northway Biotech cluster. The project was delivered in nine months and represents the second collaboration between Naresta and the Northway group to expand biotechnology infrastructure in Lithuania.
The 1,700 sq. m, two-storey A++ energy class building is located on Vismaliukai Street in Vilnius. Construction began in February and was completed in November. The facility includes office space, storage areas, and ISO 8 cleanroom facilities with laminar airflow, overpressure systems, and controlled-access airlocks. The cleanroom areas required precise installation to meet strict standards for airflow, particle control, and surface integrity.
According to Prof. Vladas Algirdas Bumelis, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Northway group, the project supports the continued expansion of the Bio City biotechnology campus and creates conditions for further development. The building also features lamella façade cladding consistent with other Bio City structures and will be powered by remotely supplied green energy.
The logistics centre is part of the Vilnius City Innovation Industrial Park, managed by Northtown Vilnius, which focuses on supporting high-tech companies in the life sciences sector. The project follows Naresta’s earlier completion of the first Gene Therapy Centre in the Baltic States, also developed for the Northway group within Bio City.
Industry representatives note that infrastructure investments such as this are essential to support Lithuania’s rapidly growing biotechnology sector. The concentration of life sciences companies within the innovation park is expected to strengthen collaboration between research and industry and enhance Vilnius’ profile as a regional centre for biotechnology.
