Frontier Scientific Solutions has announced the ongoing construction of its state-of-the-art cGMP temperature-controlled facility at Wilmington International Airport (ILM). The site will be the largest of its kind in North America dedicated solely to the life sciences sector, reinforcing Wilmington’s role as a key global logistics hub.
The facility is designed to enhance the secure transport of time and temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products. It will establish a direct gateway between North America and Europe, improving efficiency and reliability in the life sciences supply chain.
“We are thrilled to see our vision come to life with the construction of this monumental facility. It represents a significant leap forward in our mission to revolutionize the life sciences supply chain,” said Leandro Moreira, COO of Frontier Scientific Solutions.
A key feature of the Wilmington facility is its Free Trade Zone (FTZ) designation, which will streamline customs processing, reduce duty costs, and minimize risks associated with international distribution. This strategic advantage is expected to improve product security while supporting sustainability initiatives in pharmaceutical logistics.
As construction continues, Frontier Scientific Solutions is committed to working closely with local communities and stakeholders to ensure the facility contributes to both the industry and the Wilmington region.
