Acharya Group is a long-established and reliable chemical manufacturing facility specialising in the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), intermediates, and specialty chemicals. Founded in 1975, the Acharya Group encompasses Herbert Brown Pharmaceutical & Research Laboratories, Acharya Chemicals, and Shirdi Chemicals Pvt Ltd. These companies are involved in the manufacture, contract research, and custom manufacturing of bulk drugs, intermediates, and specialty chemicals, predominantly for export to Europe and the USA. Currently, they operate four manufacturing sites with a production capacity of 200 tonnes per month (TPM), and a new, modern facility with a capacity of 1000 TPM is under development. Numerous products have been approved with Drug Master Files (DMFs), and their sites are accredited by large multinational corporations. The unit processes handled include plant-scale column chromatography, among other advanced manufacturing techniques.
