EUROAPI Announces Leadership Changes: New CEO and Chair of the Board Appointed

• EUROAPI appointed Emmanuel Blin as Chair of the Board of Directors and David Seignolle as Chief Executive Officer, effective December 9, 2024.

EUROAPI, a key name in the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) industry, has announced a significant leadership transition. Emmanuel Blin has been named Independent Chair of the Board of Directors, and David Seignolle assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer, both effective immediately. This development follows the resignations of Viviane Monges, Chair of the Board, and Ludwig de Mot, CEO.

The appointments come as the company transitions to a new phase in its strategic FOCUS-27 plan, designed to deliver long-term value. Commenting on her tenure, Viviane Monges stated, “It has been an honor to build and Chair the Board over the past three-plus years, helping this newly formed company navigate headwinds, drive innovation, and improve efficiency.”

Emmanuel Blin, a EUROAPI Board Member since 2022, brings over two decades of pharmaceutical industry expertise, including senior roles at Bristol Myers Squibb. He emphasised, “The company is at an exciting juncture, and I look forward to working closely with the Board and leadership team.”

David Seignolle joined EUROAPI as Chief Operating Officer in October 2023, following roles at TEVA Pharmaceuticals and McKinsey. Elizabeth Bastoni, Chair of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee, praised his leadership, stating, “David has the vision, skills, and rigor needed to drive EUROAPI’s transformation.”

Looking ahead, EUROAPI maintains its previously announced 2024 financial guidance, projecting a net sales decrease of -8% to -11% and a Core EBITDA margin of 4% to 7%. Full-year results are expected on 3 March 2025.
