Made Scientific has acquired an 85,000-square-foot clinical-to-commercial cell therapy manufacturing facility in East Norriton, Pennsylvania, from National Resilience. The transaction closed on September 18, 2026. The facility was operational at the time of closing, allowing sponsors to begin onboarding programs immediately, according to the company.
The site and its manufacturing team have executed 145 GMP batches across multiple autologous and allogeneic programs, including CAR-T and B-cell therapies. Made Scientific said the facility can support programs targeting 2027 clinical and commercial supply without the ramp-up and qualification timelines associated with a greenfield build.
The East Norriton facility includes eight Grade B/C cleanrooms, one Grade C ballroom and one Grade B fill-finish suite, along with quality control and analytical testing laboratories and high-bay warehousing. The site also has 30,000 square feet of expansion space, with a design and engineering plan supporting eight additional ballrooms. Made Scientific said the facility supports starting material, drug substance and drug product manufacturing under custom and platform technology transfer.
The company plans to equip the facility with scalable 3D bioreactor platforms of up to 200 liters, advanced cell harvest equipment, automated fill-finish and lyophilization capacity. The site will also expand Made Scientific’s support for programs involving mesenchymal stem cell, secretome, exosome and senolytic therapies, alongside immune-cell, iPSC-derived and engineered-tissue programs supported at its Princeton facility. Clients can transfer existing processes to the site or use Made Scientific’s ReadyMADE platforms across multiple modalities.

Following the acquisition, the company said its total operating footprint is approximately 145,000 square feet across its U.S. East Coast network, with 15 qualified GMP manufacturing suites. Made Scientific is preparing its Princeton facility for a commercial-stage U.S. Food and Drug Administration pre-licensure inspection in early 2027, with the East Norriton facility to follow.
