Ensera Launches Alliance Network for Drug-Device Combination Products

COMPANY PROFILE
  • Ensera has launched the Ensera Alliance Network, bringing together device platform and fill-finish specialists to support the commercialization of drug-device combination products.
  • The network currently includes SHL Medical, Stevanato Group, Ypsomed, Argonaut Manufacturing Services, and American Injectables.

Ensera, a global CDMO specializing in commercialization support for injectable drug programs, has launched the Ensera Alliance Network to help pharmaceutical companies coordinate key stages of drug-device combination product commercialization. The network connects specialists across device platforms, fill-finish, final assembly, and packaging.

The network currently includes injector platform providers SHL Medical, Stevanato Group, and Ypsomed, along with fill-finish specialists Argonaut Manufacturing Services and American Injectables. Ensera said the model is intended to create stronger connections between different stages of the combination product supply chain and help programs progress toward commercial supply.

Pharmaceutical companies commercializing combination products may need to coordinate multiple specialist suppliers across device platforms, fill-finish, final assembly, and packaging. Ensera said the network is designed to address the complexity created by these supplier handovers by improving coordination across responsibilities, processes, and timelines.

Ensera plans to expand the network over time by adding organizations whose capabilities, standards, and approach complement existing members and customer needs. Participation is non-exclusive, and Ensera and network participants remain independent organizations, with customers able to engage each company directly and separately.

“Too many combination product programs are slowed by disconnected suppliers and difficult handovers. The Ensera Alliance Network brings trusted specialists together around a more coordinated, responsive model, helping customers simplify commercialization, reduce risk and rapidly progress towards launch.”
