Hikal Limited has signed a multi-year contract development and manufacturing agreement with a Europe-based global agrochemical company. The deal was reported on November 2, 2026. Under the long-term commercial partnership, Hikal will supply a specialized agrochemical product worldwide. The agreement was formalized by Hikal’s Crop Protection division. The client and the product were not named.
The contract follows a development phase. Hikal carried out process development and scale-up of the product before the commercial agreement was signed. According to Hikal, the collaboration ran for nearly three years. Commercial launch is expected toward the end of FY 2026-27. Volumes are anticipated to grow progressively as regulatory approvals are secured across global markets.
For clients that outsource, the deal shows a development relationship converting into a commercial supply relationship with the same partner. Hikal said the partnership highlights its expertise in process development and commercialization, and its ability to convert client specifications into sustained manufacturing partnerships. It added that the contract broadens the range of specialized solutions the Crop Protection segment offers international clients.
“This contract marks an important milestone for our Crop Protection business, converting nearly three years of collaborative development and scale-up into a long-term commercial partnership. It demonstrates Hikal’s ability to combine deep technical expertise with reliable manufacturing capabilities to take complex products from development to commercial supply. We are well positioned to support the planned launch and progressive expansion of supplies across global markets.”
