- Johnson succeeds Derek Hennecke, who will return to GRAM’s Board of Directors after serving as CEO since 2024.

Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM), a contract manufacturing organisation specialising in sterile fill-finish services, has announced the promotion of Denis Johnson to Chief Executive Officer. The appointment takes effect on 1 September 2025.
Johnson has been President of GRAM since March 2025 and will now lead the company’s next phase of growth. His remit includes strategic expansion, operational excellence, and strengthening client engagement in aseptic manufacturing.
With extensive leadership experience in life sciences and manufacturing, Johnson has previously held senior roles at Biogen, Catalent, Boston Scientific, and Johnson & Johnson. He began his career in the US Army managing logistics and operations.
Matt Altman, Chairman of GRAM’s Board of Directors and Managing Partner at Arlington Capital Partners, said: “Denis’s leadership as President has already accelerated GRAM’s strong growth through the successful onboarding of new clients and products. The company confirmed that outgoing CEO Derek Hennecke, who has served since September 2024, will return to GRAM’s Board of Directors. The announcement coincides with the company’s 15th anniversary.
