Aenova Enhances Effervescent and Blister Packaging Capacity in Bad Aibling

• Aenova is investing approximately €20 million in its Bad Aibling site to upgrade production and packaging lines for effervescent products and blister packaging.

• The expansion includes a new blister line, additional strip and tube packaging lines, and future investments in granulation technology.

Aenova has announced a major expansion at its Bad Aibling facility, investing around €20 million to enhance production and packaging capabilities. The site, which serves as a competence centre for blister packaging and high-volume effervescent products, now boasts modern, high-speed manufacturing infrastructure.

The investment includes the commissioning of a new blister packaging line in February 2025, contributing to a total capacity of approximately 220 million blisters per year. Additionally, a new strip packaging line for effervescent products was brought online earlier this year, bringing the site’s total effervescent production capacity to over 420 million tablets annually. The facility now operates two strip lines and one tube line dedicated to effervescent products.

Further upgrades are planned, including the installation of an explosion-proof fluid bed granulator for organic granulation. These advancements aim to optimise efficiency, shorten delivery times, and accommodate future customer growth.
