Alcami Appoints Tori E. Arens as President of Drug Product

  • Alcami Corporation has appointed Tori E. Arens as President of Drug Product, overseeing cGMP drug product manufacturing operations.
  • Arens brings over 25 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, including leadership roles at Resilience, Aerie Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, and Eisai.

Alcami Corporation, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has announced the appointment of pharmaceutical industry veteran Tori E. Arens as President of Drug Product. In this role, Arens will lead the company’s cGMP drug product manufacturing operations, including sterile fill-finish and oral solid dose drug product manufacturing.

Arens will oversee Alcami’s two sterile fill-finish facilities in Research Triangle Park, NC, and Charleston, SC, as well as the oral solid dose manufacturing, packaging, and labeling facilities in Wilmington, NC.

“Tori brings a unique skillset of manufacturing expertise along with strong leadership skills, that will be of great value to Alcami, our customers and their patients alike,” said Patrick Walsh, Alcami Chairman and Interim CEO.

With more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, Arens has held leadership roles in the development, technology transfer, manufacture, and supply of drug substance and sterile drug products. Before joining Alcami, she was Vice President, General Manager, and Site Head at Resilience, overseeing gene therapy viral vector manufacturing. Her previous roles include Vice President, Drug Product Manufacturing and Supply at Aerie Pharmaceuticals (now Alcon), Director of Parenteral Operations at Biogen, and Senior Director of Parenteral Operations at Eisai, Inc.

Arens holds a Master of Science in Pharmaceutics and a Bachelor of Art in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, she stated, “I’m thrilled to join Alcami during this exciting period of growth and to collaborate with such a talented team.”
