AsymBio Secures 1.2397 Billion(approximately $184 million) Yuan to Expand Biologics CDMO Capacity

AsymBio is set to secure 1.2397 billion yuan (approximately $184 million) in financing from Asymchem Group, Hillhouse Qirui, and other investors to support its long-term growth. The biologics contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) said the capital will be used to support its core business operations while expanding manufacturing capacity, research and development capabilities, GMP manufacturing lines, and high-containment facilities.

Under the transaction, Asymchem Group will invest 1.05 billion yuan, while Hillhouse Qirui will contribute 177 million yuan. Following completion of the financing, Asymchem Group’s ownership stake in AsymBio is expected to increase to 83.4965%. According to the company, the investment aligns with Asymchem Group’s strategy of providing end-to-end CDMO and contract manufacturing services.

The company said the additional funding will support the scaling of client programs and improve operational efficiency. AsymBio reported revenue of 470 million yuan for 2025, while first-quarter 2026 revenue exceeded 140 million yuan.

AsymBio, a subsidiary of Asymchem Group, provides biopharmaceutical CDMO services spanning early-stage development, process development, toxicology, clinical manufacturing, and commercial-scale manufacturing. The company also highlighted its experience in antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) production and its continued expansion into novel drug conjugates (NDCs) and protein-based therapeutics.
