  • Catalent and consumer health company Mantra have signed a commercial supply agreement covering Mantra’s single-serve, over-the-counter (OTC) oral gel product platform.
  • Catalent will provide formulation development, commercial manufacturing, and packaging services at its St. Petersburg, Florida, facility for products targeting occasional sleeplessness, pain relief, and menstrual relief.

Catalent has entered a commercial supply agreement with Mantra to support the commercialization of the consumer health company’s single-serve OTC oral gel products. Under the agreement, Catalent will provide formulation development, commercial manufacturing, and packaging services at its facility in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The agreement covers Mantra products addressing three consumer health needs: occasional sleeplessness, pain relief, and menstrual relief. The products are packaged in portable, single-serve pouches that deliver a pre-measured dose without water. The format is designed as an alternative to traditional tablets, capsules, and syrups.

Mantra said its products use formulations without artificial dyes, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, or preservatives. The partnership combines the company’s oral gel format with Catalent’s development and commercial manufacturing capabilities to support the transition of Mantra’s product portfolio to market.

“This is the first OTC unit-dose gel technology manufactured by Catalent, and we are proud to support the commercialization of Mantra’s portfolio.”

Dr. Aris Gennadios, group president of Pharma and Consumer Health at Catalent

Simon More, CEO and founder of Mantra, said the partnership provides the development expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and scale needed to bring the company’s products to market.

The agreement reflects Catalent’s continued focus on supporting self-care companies through formulation development, manufacturing, and packaging services. The companies said the arrangement will support the commercialization of Mantra’s oral gel product platform.
