CELLforCURE by SEQENS Partners with Galapagos to Manufacture CD19 CAR-T Therapy

• CELLforCURE by SEQENS will manufacture Galapagos’ CD19 CAR T-cell therapy candidate for clinical trials in France.

• The agreement supports Galapagos’ decentralised manufacturing strategy, bringing production closer to patients.

CELLforCURE by SEQENS, a CDMO specialising in advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), has announced a partnership with Galapagos NV to support clinical manufacturing of its CD19 CAR T-cell therapy candidate, GLPG5101. The therapy is currently being evaluated for multiple relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma indications.

Manufacturing will take place at CELLforCURE’s GMP-compliant facility in Les Ulis, France. The site will enable Galapagos to deliver its decentralised model of cell therapy manufacturing, supporting clinical trials in Paris and surrounding regions.

Galapagos’ manufacturing platform aims to reduce the median vein-to-vein time to seven days by producing therapies near treatment centres. This approach is designed to avoid cryopreservation and cytotoxic bridging therapy by supplying fresh, early-memory-enriched T cells.

The collaboration builds on CELLforCURE’s experience in local CAR-T manufacturing pathways in the EU and its work with French hospitals over the past five years. It may extend to other product candidates in Galapagos’ pipeline.
