Codis has launched as a global contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in commercial-scale spray drying, amorphous solid dispersions (ASD), and particle engineering technologies. The company was formed through the integration of Particle Dynamics in the US and the Haverhill, UK spray drying facility previously operated by EUROAPI.
The combined operations offer over 5000 metric tons per year of spray-dried output and support 30 products for 50 global pharmaceutical customers. Codis operates three GMP facilities across St. Louis, MO, Seymour, IN, and Haverhill, UK, with a total global footprint of 40,000 m². The company’s sites are audited and approved by six international regulatory agencies and employ more than 300 staff worldwide.

The Haverhill, UK facility, acquired from EUROAPI in June 2025, contributes over 30 years of expertise in spray drying, continuous flow chemistry, and regulatory compliance. The site is also a primary global manufacturer of Sevelamer, demonstrating its capability to deliver high-quality, internationally approved products.
The Codis brand, derived from the Latin word codex (“law” or “system”), reflects the company’s focus on compliance, reliability, and problem-solving for its global partners.
