Delpharm, a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has announced the commissioning of a new sterile filling line at its Saint-Rémy site in France. The investment supports national strategic goals for strengthening pharmaceutical manufacturing infrastructure.
The total investment, which includes the new building, amounts to €37 million, with €10.4 million provided as financial support by the French government.
The new facility significantly expands Delpharm’s sterile fill-finish capabilities. It can process vial sizes from 2ml to 100ml, with a maximum throughput of 24,000 vials per hour for 2ml formats. The added line enables an annual capacity increase of 45 million units for the 2ml vial size.
