EirGenix Opens Taiwan Microbial Facility

EirGenix has opened its Microbial Facility II in Zhubei, Taiwan, expanding its microbial manufacturing capabilities with fermentation scales of up to 1,500 L. The new facility is designed to provide support across the product lifecycle, from process development and scale-up to clinical and commercial GMP manufacturing.

The facility will provide flexible, end-to-end manufacturing support for customers with different development and production requirements. EirGenix said the new capabilities are intended to support programs through development and commercialization.

The microbial facility complements EirGenix’s existing mammalian manufacturing platform, which includes commercial production lines with capacity of up to 12,000 L. Together, the two platforms provide EirGenix with dual-expression-system CDMO capabilities.

The opening expands EirGenix’s manufacturing infrastructure in Taiwan and its ability to support global partners. The company said the new facility strengthens its capabilities across microbial and mammalian manufacturing and supports customers from development through commercialization.
