- Eurofins CDMO Alphora has expanded its kilolab and high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredient (HPAPI) development and manufacturing capabilities in Mississauga, with suites covering 627 square feet.
- The expansion adds flexible laboratory, analytical and GMP warehouse capacity to support small molecule and ADC development and manufacturing programs.
Eurofins CDMO Alphora has expanded its kilolab and high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredient (HPAPI) development and manufacturing capabilities at its Mississauga site. The 627-square-foot suites are designed to support process development, scale-up and manufacturing activities for both high-potency and non-high-potency programs.
The expanded laboratories feature walk-in fume hoods capable of supporting glass reactors of up to 100 liters. Their flexible design allows specialised equipment, including isolators, glove boxes and lyophilizers, to be added according to project requirements. An additional dedicated analytical laboratory and adjacent GMP warehouse provide support for development workflows, analytical activities, material management and manufacturing readiness.
The expansion builds on Eurofins CDMO Alphora’s small molecule development and manufacturing services, which include process research and development, analytical development, GMP manufacturing and commercialization support. The company said the additional capacity will support increasingly complex and highly potent molecules across development stages.
The expanded capabilities also support the site’s integrated antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) offering. The facility can produce linkers and payloads for conjugation with monoclonal antibodies manufactured on site, which the company said can reduce development timelines and supply chain complexities.
The expansion is intended to provide greater flexibility for partners developing targeted therapies and other next-generation medicines, while supporting Eurofins CDMO Alphora’s capabilities in small molecule development, high-potency API manufacturing and contract manufacturing.
