- Evotec has expanded its Just – Evotec Biologics offering with J.TRAIN, a turnkey solution that enables biopharmaceutical companies to deploy the company’s continuous manufacturing technology within their own facilities.
- The platform is designed to support faster biologics manufacturing capacity expansion, with deployment in approximately 18 months and productivity exceeding conventional fed-batch manufacturing.

Evotec SE has expanded its Just – Evotec Biologics services with the launch of J.TRAIN, a technology licensing and partner-enablement offering that enables biopharmaceutical companies to deploy the company’s proprietary continuous manufacturing platform within their own facilities. The turnkey solution combines prefabricated modular cleanrooms, industry-standard manufacturing equipment, and cGMP-compliant process automation to support biologics manufacturing.
According to the company, J.TRAIN enables customers to establish manufacturing capacity on-site using proprietary automation, digital validation, documentation, and training protocols designed to streamline implementation and support regulatory readiness. The offering was unveiled at the INTERPHEX conference in New York City in April 2026 and expands the company’s technology-focused business model beyond traditional CDMO and contract manufacturing services.
Evotec said the platform can produce more than 500 kilograms of drug substance using less than 10,000 square feet of cleanroom space and achieve productivity levels more than ten times those of conventional fed-batch manufacturing. The company stated that production scale can be adjusted by extending manufacturing runs rather than increasing facility size, while the integrated design supports rapid product changeovers in multi-product manufacturing environments.
The company said J.TRAIN can be deployed in approximately 18 months, providing a faster route to manufacturing capacity expansion than conventional biologics facilities. Evotec added that the model builds on its December 2025 transaction with Sandoz, which included a manufacturing facility and a license to its proprietary manufacturing technology.
“J.TRAIN is a disruptive opportunity for industry to increase capacity and manufacture biologics at reduced costs and improved productivity, with deployment in as little as 18 months.”
