FAREVA has acquired the Lüleburgaz pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Türkiye as it expands its global pharmaceutical manufacturing network. Located close to Istanbul, the site is positioned at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and is intended to strengthen FAREVA’s manufacturing capacity, flexibility and geographic reach across international markets.
The site covers 338,000 m², including 72,000 m² of industrial buildings, and has a production capacity of up to 445 million packs per year on a three-shift basis. Its manufacturing capabilities include solid dosage forms, liquids, semi-solids, sterile products, penicillins and cephalosporins. Products manufactured at the site serve customers across Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania.
The acquisition also adds pharmaceutical manufacturing expertise and an established international customer portfolio to FAREVA. The company said the site has a track record of international inspections, customer audits and major regulatory certifications, supported by an industrial organization and quality culture.
Nearly 750 employees will join FAREVA through the acquisition, bringing pharmaceutical expertise, technical know-how and industrial experience. According to FAREVA, their knowledge will support the continued development of its pharmaceutical activities worldwide and the integration of the Lüleburgaz site into its manufacturing network.
