FUJIFILM Biotechnologies, a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) for biologics, vaccines, and advanced therapies, has announced that its President and CEO, Lars Petersen, has been named “CEO of the Year” at the CPHI Pharma Awards 2025 held in Frankfurt, Germany.
The CPHI awards honour excellence across pharmaceutical innovation, manufacturing, and leadership. The “CEO of the Year” accolade is presented by an independent panel of global industry experts, recognising exceptional leadership and impact within the sector.
Petersen received the award for his transformational leadership within the CDMO industry. Since assuming the role of CEO two years ago, he has championed trust-based partnerships and introduced a “people first” culture at FUJIFILM Biotechnologies. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its manufacturing footprint with the opening of a US commercial-scale facility and additional global expansions planned for 2026.
