Intravacc and SynphaBase AG have announced a strategic partnership aimed at supporting the development and supply of conjugate vaccines. The collaboration will provide vaccine developers with access to integrated services spanning synthetic oligosaccharide development, conjugation process development, scale-up, and GMP manufacturing.
Under the agreement, the companies will jointly offer their complementary capabilities to third-party vaccine developers and, at Intravacc’s discretion, selected internal vaccine programs. The partnership brings together SynphaBase’s expertise in glycochemistry and synthetic oligosaccharides with Intravacc’s experience in conjugation process development and vaccine manufacturing.
According to the companies, Intravacc will contribute its capabilities in antigen conjugation, process scale-up, GMP production, and supply of conjugate vaccines. SynphaBase will provide expertise in the production, application, supply, and regulatory support of synthetic oligosaccharides used in vaccine research, clinical development, and manufacturing.
“We are pleased to announce our strategic partnership with SynphaBase. By combining SynphaBase’s expertise in synthetic oligosaccharides with Intravacc’s capabilities in conjugation process development and GMP vaccine manufacturing, we aim to provide vaccine innovators with an integrated and efficient development pathway for conjugate vaccines.”
Ivo Lemmens, Managing Director of Intravacc
The non-exclusive partnership allows both companies to promote each other’s services within relevant vaccine programs while enabling customers to choose the products and services that best fit their development requirements. The companies stated that the collaboration is intended to support faster and more efficient development of conjugate vaccines by linking synthetic oligosaccharide supply with specialized vaccine development and GMP manufacturing expertise.
