Lifecore Biomedical Signs Agreement for Injectable Neurological Disorder Product

COMPANY PROFILE
  • Lifecore Biomedical has signed a new agreement with a global pharmaceutical company to provide technical transfer services for an injectable suspension product targeting neurological disorders.
  • The company said the agreement marks its seventh late-stage program contract secured in the last seven months.

Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. has entered into a new agreement with a global pharmaceutical company under which it will provide technical transfer services to support the commercial production of an injectable suspension product for neurological disorders.

The agreement calls for Lifecore, a CDMO focused on injectable drug products, to support the transition of the product into commercial manufacturing. The company said the product is a higher-viscosity suspension formulation, an area that requires specialized contract manufacturing capabilities.

According to Lifecore, the agreement represents its seventh late-stage program contract secured within the past seven months. The company said the addition reflects ongoing growth in its development and manufacturing portfolio.

“With this significant new customer win, we have secured our seventh agreement for a late-stage program within the last seven months, reflecting how our focused business development efforts have created strong momentum and results for continued portfolio growth.”

Paul Josephs, chief executive officer of Lifecore

Lifecore said the agreement also reflects demand for manufacturing expertise in high-viscosity and other complex pharmaceutical products, and noted that its U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities support multinational pharmaceutical companies seeking contract manufacturing services.
