BioCentriq has announced its rebrand as Made Scientific, a move aimed at reinforcing its commitment to accelerating cell therapy development and commercialization. The new identity, which stands for Manufacturing and Development Excellence, reflects the company’s focus on streamlining complex processes, adapting to industry challenges, and supporting innovative therapies.
The rebranding follows the company’s expansion efforts, including the establishment of a new 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Princeton, NJ. This site, now operational for development programs, will offer GMP manufacturing services from Q2 2025. A $12M capital investment has been allocated for facility upgrades, advanced equipment, and business system enhancements to enhance the company’s capabilities in cell therapy manufacturing.
“We spent time listening—to startups, established large pharma companies, academic medical centers, biotechs, and scientists pushing the boundaries of cell therapy,” said Syed T. Husain, Chairman and CEO of Made Scientific. “The same themes emerged again and again: scalability is a challenge, vendor flexibility is rare, and manufacturing readiness is often an afterthought. We knew that if we could create a CDMO model that addressed these gaps, we’d be solving real problems for innovators.”
The new facility features six ISO 7 cleanrooms equipped with advanced bioreactors, automated cell processing systems, and scalable production platforms. It also includes customizable expansion space to accommodate future growth. The company’s Newark, NJ site will continue to support Phase I-III manufacturing and hybrid client-in-plant operations.
As a cell therapy CDMO, Made Scientific offers a comprehensive suite of services, including process and analytical development, GMP drug substance and product manufacturing, aseptic fill and finish, quality control release testing, and workforce development.
