MedPharm has become an Olink Certified Service Provider (CSP), expanding its proteomic analysis capabilities for drug development. The company said the certification makes it the first Olink CSP in the Carolinas and one of only three in the Southeastern United States.
The Olink technology will allow MedPharm’s clients to combine proteomic data with established disease models using reconstructed and ex vivo human tissues. The company said this integrated approach can provide a broader view of therapeutic activity and help researchers investigate biological responses and potential mechanisms of action in human-relevant models.
The Olink platform uses Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) technology, which combines dual antibody recognition of target proteins with a DNA-based readout. The method can measure protein biomarkers from sample volumes as small as 1 µL and supports both absolute and relative protein measurements across low- and high-abundance targets.
MedPharm said the certification is part of a broader plan to expand its capabilities as a contract research organization, including support for clinical trial sample analysis and translational models. The company operates in the US and UK and has a partnership network in Belgium, supporting its international client base and expansion of proteomic and human-relevant testing capabilities.
