Novopor Advanced Science Private Limited has inaugurated a Pilot Plant Facility at its Vizag Unit-01 (SEZ), enhancing its ability to bridge the gap between research and full-scale manufacturing. The launch took place on 16 September 2025 in Visakhapatnam.
The facility was inaugurated by Prof. J. B. Joshi, Padma Bhushan awardee and eminent academic in chemical engineering, alongside Novopor’s Board of Directors, including Geeta Mathur, Independent Director, and Radhesh R. Welling, MD & CEO. The ceremony featured a tour of the site and a roundtable on the role of innovation in national growth, attended by industry leaders.
The new plant will provide a platform for early-stage process development, optimisation, and scale-up. It is equipped with advanced process systems and incorporates strict safety and environmental safeguards. Novopor stated the investment will help accelerate the commercialisation of new technologies across agrochemicals, performance materials, and specialty chemicals.
