Olon has completed a major expansion of its Concord, Ohio manufacturing facility, doubling the site’s production capacity and expanding its commercial manufacturing capabilities. The company said the investment strengthens the facility’s role within its global manufacturing network while maintaining its existing capabilities in chemical synthesis, process development, and early-stage manufacturing. The expanded site is intended to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies seeking U.S.-based contract manufacturing services.
The Concord facility now provides expanded support for development and manufacturing programs from early-stage development through commercial supply. According to the company, several customer programs are already underway, and recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections were completed with no observations, supporting the site’s regulatory compliance and quality standards.
“Concord represents an important milestone in our long-term growth strategy. By strengthening the integration of our operations across regions, we are building a more agile and connected organization, enabling us to support increasingly complex projects while providing greater flexibility and reliability to our clients worldwide.”
Paolo Tubertini, Chief Executive Officer of Olon Group
Olon said the expansion aligns with its strategy to strengthen integration between its U.S. and European operations, providing customers with broader access to scientific expertise, technical resources, and manufacturing capabilities. The company added that the approach is designed to improve flexibility and continuity as projects progress from development to commercial production while supporting a resilient transatlantic supply chain.
The expanded facility also enhances Concord’s research and development capabilities in process development and scale-up. Combined with the new production assets, the site now offers an end-to-end CDMO solution spanning process development through commercial manufacturing and supply.
