Pace® has appointed Ken Beyer as its new Chief Executive Officer, placing responsibility for the organisation’s nationwide network of environmental and life sciences laboratories under his leadership. The company stated that Beyer will oversee all operational areas as Pace continues to expand its services across technology-driven laboratory and scientific solutions.
The appointment answers the question of who will lead the company as it aims to grow its presence across the environmental, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Beyer joins Pace with a career that spans logistics, technology and consulting, most recently serving as CEO of Transportation Insight and Nolan Transportation Group, where he led the combined organisation to become the fourth-largest domestic transportation management provider in the United States.
The company said his experience includes senior roles at Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services, a global logistics business with operations across 39 countries, and CloudBlue Technologies, a company he co-founded and developed into a multinational reverse-logistics and IT asset management provider. Earlier in his career, Beyer worked as a management consultant at Ernst & Young.
“I am honored to join Pace® and lead a team dedicated to making the world a safer, healthier place,” said Beyer, noting the company’s focus on scientific excellence and client service.
Pace is backed by Leonard Green & Partners and Aurora Capital Partners. According to the announcement, the company aims to accelerate growth, expand service offerings and strengthen partnerships under its new leadership structure. The organisation’s scientific and analytical capabilities support industries, government agencies and pharmaceutical companies through a broad range of laboratory services.
