PharmaLogic Acquires Majority Stake in Agilera to Expand Global Radiopharmaceutical CDMO Platform

  • PharmaLogic will acquire a majority stake in Agilera Pharma AS from Norway’s Institute for Energy Technology.
  • The acquisition supports PharmaLogic’s ambition to build the first fully-integrated global CDMO focused on radiopharmaceutical therapies.

PharmaLogic Holdings Corp. has announced it will acquire a majority stake in Agilera Pharma AS, a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Norway, from the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). The move is a key element of PharmaLogic’s plan to establish the first global, fully-integrated CDMO dedicated to radiopharmaceutical therapies.

The transaction brings together two experienced players in the sector. Agilera has delivered more than 600,000 commercial therapeutic doses across over 40 countries, maintaining long-term partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

“This acquisition accelerates the expansion of our capabilities in this high-growth field,” said Etienne Montagut, President of PharmaLogic. “By combining our expertise with Agilera’s industry-leading scale and quality systems, we will be uniquely positioned to offer an end-to-end solution for manufacturing therapeutics at scale.”

PharmaLogic stated that Agilera would complement its existing CDMO platform and enable wider transatlantic and European distribution. The company also plans to invest in expanding Agilera’s infrastructure to meet the increasing global demand for radiopharmaceutical products.

The Institute for Energy Technology described the sale as its largest commercialisation effort to date. Erik Flatmark, CEO of Agilera, welcomed the move, saying it would “enable further investments in the business” and support “faster adaptation to the promising market opportunities.”
