- Phillips Medisize has launched TheraVolt™, its first branded line of medical connectors, designed for high-voltage and high pin-count device applications.
- The product targets the growing electrophysiology market, particularly pulsed field ablation (PFA) therapies for atrial fibrillation.
Phillips Medisize, a Molex company, has announced the launch of TheraVolt™, a new line of medical connectors engineered to support advanced device integration, performance, and reliability in electrophysiology (EP) applications. This is the first connector product line released under the Phillips Medisize brand.
Developed in response to increased demand for compact, high-performance connectors, TheraVolt addresses the specific needs of medical devices used in pulsed field ablation (PFA) procedures. These connectors offer high pin count density and high voltage clearance, supporting complex therapies and advanced data collection functions. The technology is designed to enhance cross-platform compatibility and reduce both development time and costs for medical device manufacturers.
According to the company, TheraVolt Medical Connectors provide design flexibility with off-the-shelf options that can be customised for specific applications. The connectors are compatible with multiple autoclave sterilisation cycles and are built to comply with IEC and IPC standards to ensure reliability and safety in medical environments.
“With the launch of TheraVolt, the first of several Phillips Medisize–branded connectors, we are excited to bring deeper collaboration and innovation to complement our exceptional contract design and manufacturing services,” said Pete Soupir, vice president, MedTech segment at Phillips Medisize.
Phillips Medisize reports that additional connector solutions are currently in development and are expected to be released over the next 18 to 24 months.
