Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS), a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and part of Piramal Pharma Ltd., has received this year’s Excellence in Patient Centricity Award for work at its drug product manufacturing site in Pithampur, India. The site’s Patient Awareness Council (PAC) was recognized for its “Beyond the Batch: Connecting Our Work to Every Patient” project, which led to the development of an Integrated Patient Impact Dashboard.
The dashboard consolidates supply, production, and customer insights into a single digital platform. It provides internal and external stakeholders with visibility into how manufacturing output relates to patient impact. It tracks production volumes, monthly supply trends, product contributions, potential patient reach, and patient centricity initiatives.
The dashboard currently shows that the Pithampur site supplies an average of 39.8 million units per month across 24 products, with a potential reach of 34.08 million lives. According to PPS, the platform also helps teams understand the relationship between their manufacturing activities and downstream patient outcomes, supporting data-informed decisions.
The initiative has also influenced how employees view their responsibilities, shifting the focus from individual tasks to contributions to patients. PPS said the increased visibility has strengthened ownership, accountability, quality, patient safety, and employees’ sense of purpose. The dashboard has also helped teams interpret trends and make decisions based on data.
“We are incredibly proud of the Pithampur PAC for creating the Integrated Patient Impact Dashboard, reminding us that we aren’t just delivering a batch or a product; we are delivering hope for patients.”
Stu Needleman, chief commercial officer and chief patient centricity officer at Piramal Pharma Solutions
The company added that customers have praised the site’s diligence, responsiveness, and adaptability in keeping critical project milestones on track and helping ensure treatments reach patients.
