ReiThera, a contract manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has announced the appointment of Stefano Colloca as its new Chief Executive Officer. The announcement was made on 6th July 2024.
Stefano Colloca, a seasoned leader in viral vector technologies, co-founded and directed numerous viral vector programs at Okairos Srl before co-founding ReiThera. His strategic insight and deep understanding of ReiThera and its novel vaccine platform are expected to guide the company’s next growth phase.
In his new role, Stefano will continue to advance gene therapy programs for vaccines and advanced therapies. His previous roles include being one of the founders and the Director of Viral Vector Department at Okairos Srl. He also served as a Senior Research Fellow at IRBM, where he contributed to drug discovery programs on the hepatitis B and C viruses and to the adenovirus vector development for therapeutic gene transfer and gene-based vaccination.
Stefano brings with him strong research experience in the field of viral vectors for gene delivery and expertise in good manufacturing process (GMP) production and quality assessment. He has overseen and directed manufacturing campaigns of numerous GMP clinical trial materials and is responsible for the GMP Facility at ReiThera.
