Rentschler Biopharma Appoints Torsten Woehr as CEO Effective August 1, 2026

Rentschler Biopharma SE has appointed Torsten Woehr as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2026, as the company advances the next phase of its corporate strategy. Woehr succeeds Prof. Dr. Uwe Buecheler, who will step down as interim CEO and resume his position as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board on the same date.

Woehr brings more than 25 years of experience in the biotechnology and CDMO industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Bachem Group, where he led global commercial activities. His previous experience includes senior leadership positions across the industry and more than a decade working in the United States.

According to the company, the leadership transition is intended to support long-term growth and sustainable value creation. Rentschler Biopharma said Woehr’s commercial and operational experience will help strengthen customer partnerships and support clients developing and manufacturing biologic medicines through its contract manufacturing services.
