Rose BioSolutions has appointed David Enloe as Chief Executive Officer, adding an executive with more than 35 years of experience in biotech and pharmaceutical services. Enloe has spent more than 30 years in gene therapy and biopharmaceutical manufacturing and has been involved in the commercial launch of more than a dozen therapies.
Enloe previously spent nearly 15 years helping build Introgen Therapeutics, where he ultimately served as President and CEO. He later founded Vivante GMP Solutions, a gene therapy CDMO focused on viral vector manufacturing. Following its acquisition by Lonza, Vivante became Lonza’s Cell and Gene Therapy Business Unit, with Enloe continuing to lead the business.
Enloe has also held leadership roles at Societal CDMO and Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services. At Societal CDMO, he repositioned the company as a focused CDMO and developed its commercial, operational and organizational capabilities. At Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services, he led the integration of four manufacturing organizations into a unified global CDMO serving biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers.
In his new role, Enloe will support Rose BioSolutions’ mission of combining cellular materials, development and manufacturing capabilities for cell and gene therapy programs. The company said his experience in building integrated organizations and addressing the evolving needs of biotechnology clients will support its strategy as a standalone platform.
“I am excited to join Rose Bio at a pivotal moment for both the company as a newly established standalone platform and the broader cell and gene therapy industry. Rose BioSolutions’ portfolio of cellular starting materials, technical expertise, infrastructure and team position the company to address evolving client needs across the cell and gene therapy sector.”
