- Sanner has rebranded Gilero under the Sanner name following its 2024 acquisition and investments in U.S. manufacturing capacity.
- The company is also expanding its Chicago facility with human factors testing, 3D printing, assembly and electromechanical prototyping capabilities.
Sanner, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on healthcare packaging and medical technology solutions, has announced two milestones in its North American growth strategy: the rebranding of Gilero to Sanner and the expansion of its innovation and development facility in Chicago. The changes follow Sanner’s acquisition of Gilero in 2024 and investments in U.S. manufacturing capacity.
The rebranding brings Sanner’s North American operations under a single global brand. The company said the unified organization will provide customers with access to medical device development, engineering, pharmaceutical packaging expertise and global manufacturing capabilities. Sanner CEO Stefan Verheyden said the integration is intended to connect development and production across the company’s global network, with the aim of reducing project risk, simplifying technology transfer and supporting faster commercialization of healthcare products.
Sanner is also expanding its Chicago presence with a larger office designed to support collaboration with customers and industry partners. The facility includes a dedicated human factors laboratory with integrated audiovisual recording for usability testing, in-house 3D printing, assembly and electromechanical prototyping capabilities, and access to the adjacent mHUB Innovation Center. The center provides technologies including CT scanning, laser cutting and selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing.
“The integration with Sanner provides customers with expanded global capabilities, additional manufacturing expertise and greater resources for developing complex healthcare products. The Chicago expansion is a step toward bringing Sanner’s teams closer to customers in the medtech sector.”
Ted Mosler, CTO of the Sanner Group and President of Sanner America
The company said the brand unification, Chicago expansion and a new production facility in Greensboro, North Carolina, demonstrate its long-term commitment to investing in North America’s healthcare sector.
