- ten23 health has successfully tested the West Synchrony S1 prefillable syringe system on its fill-finish manufacturing equipment.
- The early evaluation enables biopharma clients to adopt the system for clinical and early commercial programs with reduced risk and faster timelines.
ten23 health® announced that it has successfully tested the West Synchrony™ S1 prefillable syringe (PFS) system on its fill-finish manufacturing equipment. The development follows the global commercial availability of the system by West Pharmaceutical Services, which integrates syringe components into a single, verified platform.
The company stated that early evaluation of the container system on its lines enables biopharma customers to adopt the platform more quickly for clinical and early commercial programs. This approach is designed to reduce technical risk and support accelerated development timelines within CDMO and contract manufacturing workflows.
The Synchrony S1 PFS system offers multiple configurations for biologics and vaccines, including staked needle and Luer lock options, as well as plunger components such as NovaPure® and FluroTec™ film. ten23 health’s evaluation focused on manufacturability, compatibility, and process robustness under fill-finish conditions.
“Having already implemented and tested the West Synchrony S1 prefillable syringe system on our equipment, we are well positioned to support our partners with operational readiness.”
Hanns-Christian Mahler, Chief Enablement Officer at ten23 health
The company noted that early alignment between container systems and manufacturing processes is becoming increasingly important as regulatory and technical complexity grows. ten23 health will also co-host an event with West Pharmaceutical Services in Basel to demonstrate the filling of Synchrony syringes on its pilot line.
