Tiziana Life Sciences Partners with Renaissance for Intranasal Foralumab Scale-Up

• Tiziana Life Sciences has entered a product development services agreement with Renaissance Lakewood LLC, a CDMO specialising in nasal drug delivery.

• The collaboration will optimise the formulation and scale-up manufacturing of intranasal foralumab, an investigational therapy for neurodegenerative and inflammatory diseases.

Tiziana Life Sciences has signed a product development services agreement with Renaissance Lakewood LLC, a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specialising in nasal drug delivery. The partnership aims to refine the formulation of intranasal foralumab and develop a strategy for its large-scale production.

Under the agreement, Renaissance will apply its expertise in pharmaceutical-nasal product development and manufacturing to support the production of intranasal foralumab. The goal is to ensure compliance with the highest regulatory and quality standards, facilitating the clinical advancement and potential commercialisation of the therapy.

Intranasal foralumab is being developed as a novel immunomodulatory therapy targeting neurodegenerative and inflammatory diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. Research indicates that the therapy may activate regulatory T cells, which cross the blood-brain barrier to reduce neuroinflammation by dampening microglial activation.
