Vetter is expanding its commercial fill-and-finish network with plans to add 10 commercial filling lines as part of its long-term manufacturing investment program. The expansion is intended to increase manufacturing resources and support pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers across product lifecycles and international markets.
Seven of the planned lines will be implemented across Vetter’s existing sites. The first new line, designed for filling pre-sterilized syringes, has already become operational, while a second line is expected to follow by the end of 2026. Five additional lines for aseptic production are planned through 2028.
The remaining three lines are planned for Vetter’s new commercial site in Saarlouis, Germany, which is expected to become operational by 2031. The company said the phased expansion will allow additional capacity to become available over the coming years while extending its global production network.
Vetter is also investing in broader operational infrastructure alongside the filling-line expansion. Current initiatives include increased compounding, pharmaceutical storage and visual inspection capabilities, as well as advanced cleanroom technology, automation and digitalization.
“Our phased approach enables us to make additional capacity available while systematically expanding our global production network. These investments provide customers with scalable operations, well-managed supply chains, and high-quality aseptic manufacturing to support their long-term growth.”
