VitalPath Welcomes Bill Ellerkamp as Chief Executive Officer

• VitalPath, a CDMO specialising in complex catheters and precision laser components, has appointed Bill Ellerkamp as Chief Executive Officer.

• Ellerkamp brings over 40 years of experience in the medical technology CDMO sector, including leadership roles at multiple industry firms.

VitalPath, a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) focused on complex catheters and precision laser components, has appointed Bill Ellerkamp as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ellerkamp, an experienced medical device industry executive, will lead the company as it continues to expand its capabilities and partnerships in the minimally invasive surgical market.

With more than four decades in the medical technology CDMO space, Ellerkamp has held leadership roles across various organisations. Prior to joining VitalPath, he served as President and CEO at Precision Coating, where he spearheaded strategic acquisitions, global expansion—including an entry into Costa Rica—and significant investments in automation and materials development. His tenure culminated in the company’s acquisition by Integer Holdings Corporation in early 2025.

Ellerkamp has also held leadership positions at other CDMOs, including ExtruMed and AdvancedCath, and has served as an Industry Executive Partner at Inverness Graham Investments for over 15 years. His appointment follows his role as Chairman of VitalPath’s Board of Directors, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction.
