• VIVUNT has launched its third facility for the manufacturing of sterile oncology drugs in lyophilized and liquid vial forms in León, Spain.

VIVUNT, has proudly announced the inauguration of its third manufacturing facility, dedicated to the production of sterile oncology drugs in both lyophilized and liquid vials.

This state-of-the-art plant, located in León, Spain, leverages cutting-edge technology and adheres to stringent international GMP regulations, including the EU GMP Annex 1.

Key highlights include:

• 30 Years of Excellence: With three manufacturing sites and over three decades of industry experience, VIVUNT continues to lead in pharmaceutical innovation.

• Regulatory Compliance: The new plant operates in full compliance with EU GMP Annex 1, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Advanced Capabilities: The facility features ISO vials ranging from 4R to 100R, 50H, and 100H, a maximum lyophilization capacity of 240 liters across a 10 m² surface, and a filling speed of up to 100 vials per minute. Additionally, it is certified for the highest energy efficiency.

Rial further elaborates on the facility’s versatile design: “We’ve designed this facility to be flexible and versatile, featuring ISO-standard formats for manufacturing vials of all sizes, and equipped with three reactors capable of producing batch sizes ranging from 3 to 1,200 liters in aqueous, oily, or hydroalcoholic solutions. Additionally, we have an on-site quality control laboratory and stability chambers, offering comprehensive services to our clients.”
