WuXi XDC Achieves Mechanical Completion of 25,000 m² Singapore Bioconjugate Site

• WuXi XDC has completed mechanical construction of its 25,000 m² bioconjugate manufacturing facility in Singapore, with GMP operations expected in early 2026.

• The site will provide end-to-end CRDMO services, create over 500 jobs, and operate under global GMP standards.

WuXi XDC, a global Contract Research, Development and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO) focused on the bioconjugate sector, has announced the mechanical completion of its new manufacturing site in Singapore’s Tuas Biomedical Park. The 25,000 square metre facility will now move into the Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) phase, with operations expected to begin by the end of 2025 and GMP manufacturing in early 2026.

Located in a key biomedical hub, the Singapore facility is designed to deliver full-scope production from preclinical to commercial stages. It forms part of WuXi XDC’s global strategy to establish a dual-sourcing network, complementing its existing sites in Wuxi, Changzhou, and Shanghai.

The facility includes integrated production lines for antibody intermediates, drug substances (DS), and drug products (DP), along with a modular factory design and advanced filling lines. The site will support up to 2,000 litres per batch of mAb/DS and produce up to 8 million vials of DP annually. Additional features include MSAT labs, quality control units, automated material transfer systems, and intelligent warehousing.

Once operational, the site will comply with GMP standards set by the U.S. FDA, EMA, and China’s NMPA. It also incorporates sustainability measures, such as certified eco-friendly materials and waste management systems, aligning with WuXi XDC’s ESG objectives. Over 100 staff have already joined the site, with more than 500 roles anticipated as operations scale up.
