Avance Clinical Expands CRO Footprint Into Singapore, Malaysia, and Mainland China to Build Six-Market Asia Pacific Platform

COMPANY PROFILE
  • Avance Clinical, the Australian-headquartered global CRO for biotechs, has announced a significant expansion of its Asia Pacific operations — adding dedicated clinical operations teams in Singapore and Malaysia, launching commercial operations in mainland China through offices in Shanghai and Beijing, and scaling its existing India biometrics hub into full clinical operations — extending its regional footprint to six markets across the Asia Pacific corridor.
  • The expansion builds on Avance Clinical’s established presence in South Korea and Taiwan and is designed to provide biotech sponsors with a single, accountable CRO partner for multi-country Asian trial delivery under its GlobalReady model, with regional strategy led from its Seoul office by Director of Asian Operations Jessica Han.

Avance Clinical, the Australian-headquartered global CRO for biotechs, announced on June 22, 2026, a significant expansion of its Asia Pacific and mainland China operations — establishing dedicated clinical operations teams in Singapore and Malaysia, launching commercial operations in Shanghai and Beijing, and scaling its India operations from a biometrics hub into full clinical operations. The moves extend Avance Clinical’s existing APAC footprint in South Korea and Taiwan to a six-market regional platform, positioning the company as a single accountable CRO partner for multi-country clinical trial delivery across the Asia Pacific corridor.

The expansion is designed to meet growing demand from U.S. and international biotech sponsors seeking access to Asia Pacific patient populations, regional scientific infrastructure, and accelerated clinical trial timelines as part of their global development programs. For sponsors running multi-regional programs under Avance Clinical’s GlobalReady delivery model — which spans Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America, and Europe — the expanded APAC footprint creates new options for patient recruitment diversification, Phase II and later-phase enrollment acceleration, and parallel regional data generation meeting global regulatory standards.

Singapore and Malaysia are strategically significant additions. Both markets serve as established clinical trial clusters within Southeast Asia, complementing the company’s existing strength in South Korea and Taiwan from both a regulatory and patient population standpoint. Mainland China’s inclusion — through commercial operations in Shanghai and Beijing — gives Avance Clinical direct access to the world’s fastest-growing biotech innovation market and the patient populations associated with it, a capability that is increasingly relevant as more international biotech sponsors look to incorporate Chinese clinical data into their global programs or pursue concurrent regulatory submissions.

The regional strategy is led by Jessica Han, Director of Asian Operations, who brings over 18 years of clinical research experience across global and regional CROs and operates from Avance Clinical’s Seoul, South Korea office. The expansion follows a series of strategic investments by Avance Clinical over the past 12 months, including the acquisition of U.S.-based oncology CRO LumaBridge in January 2026, the launch of Centers of Excellence in CNS, oncology, and renal and cardiometabolic research, and the recent receipt of Frost & Sullivan’s 2026 Global Company of the Year Recognition in the biotechnology CRO industry. Avance Clinical will be presenting its expanded APAC and China capabilities at the 2026 BIO International Convention in San Diego, June 22–25, at Booth #5352.

“US and international biotechs are increasingly recognising APAC as a high-value region for clinical development — whether for patient access, trial diversity, or speed to key milestones. With boots on the ground across South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and now mainland China, we can offer an integrated, seamless delivery model that few CROs can match.”
