LGM Pharma Acquires Sannova Analytical to Expand GLP Bioanalytical and cGMP Testing Services

COMPANY PROFILE
  • LGM Pharma, a US-based provider of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) sourcing, analytical testing, and drug development services, has acquired Sannova Analytical, a New Jersey-based contract research laboratory, expanding its Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) bioanalytical and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) testing capabilities.
  • The acquisition adds specialized services in peptide and oligonucleotide bioanalysis, nitrosamine and genotoxic impurity testing, and extractables and leachables evaluations. Sannova will retain its existing management, scientific teams, and laboratory operations while gaining access to LGM Pharma’s API sourcing and regulatory intelligence services.

LGM Pharma, a provider of API sourcing, contract analytical testing, and drug development services, announced on October 22, 2026, that it has acquired Sannova Analytical, a contract research laboratory headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey. The acquisition expands LGM Pharma’s US-based analytical services platform, adding GLP bioanalysis, specialized impurity testing, and additional cGMP analytical testing capacity. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition brings Sannova’s expertise in pharmacokinetic, toxicokinetic, bioequivalence, and immunogenicity testing into LGM Pharma’s portfolio. Its capabilities include peptide and oligonucleotide bioanalysis, anti-drug antibody assays, and immunoassay and PCR-based methods supporting biologics and cell and gene therapy programs. Sannova also provides nitrosamine and genotoxic impurity testing, elemental impurity analysis, and extractables and leachables evaluations.

The Somerset laboratory has completed more than 1,500 GLP bioanalytical studies and 3,500 cGMP analytical studies. Its bioanalytical methods are validated in accordance with ICH M10 guidelines, and the facility operates under both GLP and cGMP standards. The laboratory was most recently inspected by the FDA in 2025, with no action indicated.

For pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, the combined capabilities will provide integrated access to API sourcing, analytical method development, release and stability testing, and bioanalysis from preclinical development through Phase 4. The expanded services will also support manufacturers addressing nitrosamine drug substance-related impurity (NDSRI) risk assessments and other regulatory testing requirements.

“This acquisition provides additional capabilities, but it also adds capacity for the growing volume of work our clients are bringing to us.”
